ANNUAL LEAVE CARRYOVER 2025
The NRLCA and USPS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreeing that for leave year 2025, regular work force career employees covered by the USPS-NRLCA Agreement may carry over 520 hours of accumulated annual leave from leave year 2024 to leave year 2025. In all other respects, the ELM provisions for payment of accumulated leave are not changed because of this Memorandum. This MOU will expire at the conclusion of 2025 leave year.
FEDERAL RETIREMENT FAIRNESS ACT (HR 5995/Rural Carrier "buy back" legislation)
The Federal Retirement Fairness Act has been introduced as H.R. 5995, this would allow carriers who worked as RCAs for several years to "buy back" those years of service. So what do we need to do? Contact your legislators and tell them to support this bill. Dont know what to say? NRLCA.org has form letters to help.
